Series: The Secret Diamond Sisters #3
Genre: Young Adult
Length: 368 Pages
The Diamond sisters jet to the mountains for spring break, and Savannah’s flirt-mance with an international pop star heats up as her pursuit of stardom succeeds.
But is this romance meant to be, or has the right guy been in front of her all along? Meanwhile, Courtney takes the next step with her secret boyfriend—and future stepbrother—and as their parents’ wedding approaches, the pressure’s on to reveal their relationship.
Peyton’s figuring out a plan for her future, but she still feels guilty about getting her former bodyguard fired and wonders if she can get over him in the arms of someone else. But the biggest bombshell will change everything once again, because Madison’s ready to tell the huge secret she’s uncovered. And with the boy who betrayed her but who could be the love of her life fighting for his own life, she might need the Diamond sisters more than ever.
I’ve stuck with this amazing series from start to finish (how could I not with Michelle’s amazing writing?!) so I was more than excited to start the last in the series although it was bittersweet for it to end.
The Secret Diamond Sisters has been one of my favourite series that I’ve read to date and it’s for so many reasons. It’s all about the sisterhood between the girls, love and drama and everything that makes reading so enthralling. Peyton has always been my favourite Diamond Sister, but I loved Savannah in the third and final instalment of the series. The spotlight is firmly on Savannah as her flirtations with a celebrity fire up, setting her up for getting the recognition she deserves in her own pursuit. She’s head over heels, opening up her feelings to a new and exciting connection. Courtney, on the other hand, is in a different flirtation of her own. She’s been secretly seeing her future stepbrother and the pressure is firmly on her with the secret so dangerously close to being revealed. Then there’s guilt-ridden Peyton who’s trying to figure out her future without being in the arms of someone else, still feeling the effects of getting her bodyguard fired.
But the drama and tension doesn’t end there – in fact – it’s just the beginning of an eventful, stunning novel with Madison ready and willing to spill the secrets she has dug up – although the consequences and events that followed were unexpected when she might need the Diamond sisters after all.
Alike books one and two, Diamonds Are Forever is more than it seems. The characters feel real, like people I could envisage ahead of me. Each sister had their own incredible personality, and the way Michelle wrote them made them feel like friends after the time I’ve spent reading about them through the series. Without giving away any spoilers (because you have to read this!) this is truly the highlight of the series and a top contender at being one of the best YA books of the year. Engrossing, exceptional and five-star worthy by far, Diamonds surely are forever on my bookshelf.
Contemporary YA fans and for fans of the series!
