Review: Tea Tree Pore Minimiser [The Body Shop]
promising minimising of pores and mattifying purely, this new product from TBS is about to be put on a pedestal…
You may have already heard of the Tea Tree product line at The Body Shop, ranging from cleansers to lotions; but recently TBS has introduced a product called a “pore minimiser”, promising: Minimisation of the appearance of pores, mattifying the skin for a shine-free outcome, leaving the skin feeling fresh and natural, and being an ideal base for applying make-up. Taking advantage of the 40% off deal that TBS had going last week, I put this new Pore Minimiser to the test…
In texture, this “cream” has a light-weight feel, and when applied, doesn’t feel anything but weightless, as if I actually didn’t apply a thing. BUT: the difference is in seeing the product on blemished skin, or larger pores, where I saw a significant smoother appearance. It definitely mattified my skin, and when applied under make-up, had a “primer” effect, which I hadn’t found in any primers I’ve tried.

A little goes a long way with this product. |
I wanted to see if this product, which has the calming tea tree added, actually calmed my skin and perhaps made my skin clearer. YES: after applying for three days, once under make-up and the others as something to just smooth out my blemishes, I saw how reduced my blemishes and pores were. No product works right away, and that’s why I’m glad I gave this a try, because TBS usually lives up to their high popularity with their fairtrade and natural products.
Benefit vs The Body Shop: I’ve tried both their Pore Minimisers now, and TBS comes out as the winner by far. I just found it had more healing properties, but Benefit still has the wow factor with their beauty line.
