Title: Red
With thanks Quercus for the galley copy of this novel! As always, my reviews are non-bias and fair.
Top student. Beauty queen. Girlfriend of the hottest football jock. Felicity’s got everything. And it’s all down to her red, red hair.
Felicity lives in Scarletville, the world’s only redhead sanctuary, where red hair is celebrated, protected โ and the key to success.
But Felicity has a secret. A red hot secret. And if anyone finds out, she’s finished. Because Felicity’s actually a natural blonde.
And in Scarletville, blondes need not apply.
I knew the moment I saw Red on Goodreads before it’s release that I would have to read it someday in the future. And now that time has come! I saw it on Netgalley and jumped at the chance. I was so happy when the lovely people at Quercus accepted my request! I had read reviews that it was a fun, high-school contemporary novel, and ones like that are loved in my collection.

I haven't read this one yet. To be frank, the plot line didn't interest me as much, but I can see why it would – you. I think I have this book though, and I'm a fan of funny, quirky one-liners.
Great review!
I also dye my hair red, but I haven't for a while, now I kind of have three different shades of hair natural/red/blonde ends, haha. Glad you enjoyed Red though, I didn't like it as much as you. I mean, it was fun, and I didn't enjoy it, I kind of found myself rolling my eyes at some things, and I wanted a bit more depth into the issues it could've presented with looks etc. I kind of just wanted Felicity to grow a backbone a little, and I completely disliked her mother. But, it did make me think, which a lot of others haven't, so…yeah. Great review! ๐

It's one of those books where not everyone will love it, but those that do, will adore it, so I completely understand. The humor was a huge part of it, though. So it was very entertaining! ๐
I last dyed mine in November, so it's kind of in between a nice auburn and brown, which I'm happy with at the moment! But I'm always changing my hair, ha ha.
I am with you on not liking her mother very much, but I really did think that the other characters were quite entertaining. The humor and issues that were raised were highlights for me, but I went into it thinking it would be fun and playful, so it lived up to my expectations! ๐

Thanks for a great review, I look forward to reading Red especially as you mentioned it has humor and because i'm an unnatural Red head too! I've been looking for a fun new read so thanks for sharing! Glad you enjoyed the book ๐
Thank you! It's a mixture of humor and playful themes, but there's also some seriousness so it's not completely a comedy, which makes for quite a lovely read! I just love having red hair, it's just so much more fun than when I just had dark brown hair, haha. Thanks so much for stopping by <3
