This week we’re talking about Authors who deserve more recognition. There are tons of amazing Authors out there that deserve a whole lot more of recognition than they get, but these are the ten that I think could definitely be the author of your next favourite book…if you haven’t heard of them/picked their novel up, that is. Onwards!
1. Rachel Vincent
Anyone who has ever read one of the Soul Screamers books will know what I’m talking about. Rachel writes with realistic paranormal factors that wrap you up in the storyworld, which is something I love.
2. Melissa de la Cruz
The Blue Bloods series is seriously addictive. Melissa sure knows how to write a series of incredibly enthralling plots and characters.
3. Essie Fox
I only just read Essie’s book “Elijah’s Mermaid” a few months ago, and after reading it, soon got her previous book too. Pick up a copy and you won’t be sorry.
4. Christopher Pike
Sort of a popular horror YA writer, Christopher’s books are already quite big, but they deserve so much more recognition than they have right now.
5. Morgan Matson
Morgan’s book “Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour” is one of my all time favourite Summer reads. The world needs a little more amazement and you get them in the storyworld’s of Morgan Matson’s.
6. Sarra Manning
She writes YA and Adult, Sarra is multi-talented when it comes to a good book. Adorkable is seriously cute and more people need to pick it up!
7. Carrie Vaughn
Kitty’s adventures are always a pleasure to read, and I’m surprised that I haven’t seen Carrie’s books around more. They’re addictive.
8. Sarah Singleton
I bought two of Sarah’s books on a whim and it was the best spur of the moment ever. The Century is definitely a favourite of mine.
9. Lara Chapman
Flawless is hilariously amazing and anyone who doesn’t have it is seriously missing out! It’s got everything you want in a YA read; friendship, drama and romance…
10. Cynthia Hand
Unearthly…what a novel. I haven’t seen Cynthia’s novels around blogs very much but I’m sure that won’t be for long! Unearthly was out a while ago (and some other of her books) but it’s still worth a read, I loved it!
I hope

Great list! LOVE Morgan Matson!
Thank you! I love Morgan's books, too 😉
I can't believe I still haven't read a single book from Melissa de la Cruz. I hear that her books are fantastic though! Seriously, I've read books from very few of these authors…thanks for sharing, Becca! 🙂
Ohhh I saw one of the Soul Screamers the other day and never picked it up in the end! Definitely been wanting to try Sarra Manning for a while too – but then again they all sound great! 🙂
I love Cynthia Hand! She's amazing. Great list.
I recognized NONE of the authors from their pictures! But There are so many awesome authors there that deserve so much recognition. I love the name Adorkable… and the manifesto. I definitely recommend people read Sarra Manning.
Nice list! I've heard of a few of these authors, but haven't read any of their books yet. Well, except for part of a Soul Screamers novella.
I love Morgan Matson! Epic Detour and Second Chance Summer made me cry (in the really good, emotional way. Haha!) Cynthia Hand's Unearthly series was amazing too 🙂 Great list!
Great top ten! I love the Unearthly series, Cynthia Hand is a talented writer:)

Melissa is such an amazing author, you must check out her Blue Bloods series! 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by, Melissa!
The Soul Screamers series seems to go on forever, but that's a good thing! Sarra Manning's book Adorkable is also so amazing 🙂 Thank you for stopping by, Hannah!
Thank you so much! I love Cynthia's books 😉
I hardly did either! I recognise them more by book cover, haha 😉 There are so many, but sadly only ten could be on the list…but next time!
Whatever genre you love the most, there's a whole host of them on my list, hopefully one will be your kind of book or new read? 😉
I've yet to get my hands on Second Chance Summer so I'm always looking out for it! And of course Cynthia is amazing! Thank you so much for stopping by, Jasmine 😀
She is! Thank you so much, Eveline! 🙂
