Top Ten Tuesday: Most Intimidating Books
This week we’re talking Intimidating books; like maybe the size of a book, the popularity of it, or just because so many people love it that you’re worried you won’t. Onwards!

I made this image on Picmonkey.com if you’re wondering! xo |
1. Divergent by Veronica Roth
I chose this because, well…the book is iconic. I’ve attempted to read it before but I’m always shuddered that I’m not going to love it as much as everyone else; which is ridiculous, because…it’s an awesome book and I’m praying to fit it into my TBR this Summer.
2. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephenie Perkins
This book is loved by so many that it just makes me wonder if I’ll be the odd one out if I don’t love it. Romantic YA novels have always been on my radar but I’ve always headed into the more paranormal side of things, but nevertheless, it’s been added to cart.
3. Keeping The Moon by Sarah Dessen
I just bought this after much deliberation. I heard some people didn’t like The Moon and More as much as Sarah’s other books, but that this one was amazing, so this one “was” intimidating, but now it’s not so much.
4. Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
This book is huge! That’s pretty much why I put it on this list, because it took me almost a whole week to get through it. But, it was a great finish to the series.
5. The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
I’ve had this book forever but after reading The Fault in Our Stars, I am so afraid to read a book that’s going to make me cry!
6. Imposter by Susanne Winnacker
This book reminds me so much of Beautiful Malice by Rebecca James, so it’s just one of those books that I’m afraid I will find too similar.
7. The Lying Game by Sarah Shepard
The thought in my mind with this one is; “I love Pretty Little Liars, and Sara is a God at writing, but what if I don’t like The Lying Game?”
8. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
Maggie is an amazing author and I’m just so intimidated by her old series, which I read a while ago, because it was one of the first Wolf series’ I read, so I’m afraid this one will be better because it looks amazing!
9. Boy Nobody by Allen Zadoff
I see this every time I go to the bookstore and I never pick it up! I’m not even sure why…I need convincing!
10. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
I make it 6 chapters in, get distracted, read that it’s amazing, get enthralled in another book, and I never find time for this little gem of a book. I must, though!
*I love all these books, regardless, so I’m not “hating on” them, because I adore them!*
I hope you loved my TTT list, and please do post your links below and tell me what you think of my list and I’ll stop by your posts, too! I also follow back on bloglovin! (GFC went yesterday, didn’t it? I’m so confused…)
Before I Fall is definitely intimidating to me. So scared of finding what's in it. Oh. I think you should really try Anna & the French Kiss. That book has nothing to be intimidated about 😀

PS: Eeeeppp!!! Cats! 😀
Anna and the French Kiss should have been on mine too! It seems like EVERYONE loves it, but I'm definitely worried I won't! Quite a few more on here too that I agree with!
If you do try The Lying Game, be prepared that it's not as good as PLL and you'll be ok. It's a good series, and I have really enjoyed it but PLL is in a league of it's own in my opinion! 🙂 But definitely do try it!
My TTT!
I've already been the odd one out with Maggie's other series, I'm kinda scared to start The Raven Boys as well…
But you can't possibly NOT love Anna!! Seriously, that book is AMAZING! I kinda booksnobbed it, but then I read it last year and it brought ALL THE FEELS! And Etienne is awesome 🙂
You have some great choices! I've been wanting to read Before I Fall but I liked Delirium so much that I'm sort of scared I won't like Before I Fall as much as Delirium. I love Anna! I totally understand about not wanting to be the odd one out, because my entire list today is full of books I haven't read yet because I don't want to be the one person who doesn't like them!
I'm definetly going to put it on my TBR list and give it a try! 🙂 Thank you so much for following, I will of course return it ;D

Nothing could beat a series as amazing as PLL! 🙂 But I will try it, because Sara is such a good author! I'm heading over to check out your TTT now 😀

Everyone has me convinced now so I'm going to be brave and pick up a copy, haha 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by, Daisy!

That's exactly like my TBR Book list! I'm half way through Before I Fall, and I always seem to leave it there, because I know it's going to end just like The Fault In Our Stars, and they're so immensely powerful and sad :')
Thank you so much for stopping by!

These are some cool picks! I'm still intimidated by Shiver, but I really like The Raven Boys 😀 Maggie Stiefvater is an amazing author! I didn't like Delirium, so Before I Fall kinda scares me, because it works the other way around- I like the story, but I kind of got reverse-hyped because the titles from the same author were so-so. Though I do understand the odd man out factor. Sometimes, I wanna be able to tell people I love something they do, but can't, because then I'd be lying! Oh well 🙁 On the flip side, your picks are great 🙂
As long as you don't mind that sort of high-school clique them meets sad ending, then Before I Fall is a great read, but it's sort of different to other books I've picked up ;D But hearing that The Raven Boys is good makes me want to read it more!

The Sky is Everywhere is a wonderful book. So powerful. In a good way. Raven Boys is much better than the Shiver series, but it's also less accessible. It's more literary than the Shiver books.
I'm so glad you said The Sky Is Everywhere is a wonderful book, I needed some convincing. And it's great to know that Raven Boys is better than the Shiver series, so both of these books will be getting read soon, I hope!
~Becca
Awesome list. The Raven boys intimidates me too, I've heard it's difficult to get into and can seem confusing at times. Anna and the French Kiss is amazing, you will definitely not be disappointed. I never really liked contemporary and romance but this book was one that made me love this genre. Divergent was one that I was intimidated by too but I managed to read it and I was not disappointed. New Follower by the way, love your blog!
