Waiting on Wednesday: “After The End” by Amy Plum

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking The Spine, that shines a spotlight on upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

“She’s searching for answers to her past. They’re hunting her to save their future.”

World
War III has left the world ravaged by nuclear radiation. A lucky few
escaped to the Alaskan wilderness. They’ve survived for the last thirty
years by living off the land, being one with nature, and hiding from
whoever else might still be out there.

At least, this is what Juneau has been told her entire life.

When
Juneau returns from a hunting trip to discover that everyone in her
clan has vanished, she sets off to find them. Leaving the boundaries of
their land for the very first time, she learns something horrifying:
There never was a war. Cities were never destroyed. The world is intact.
Everything was a lie.

Now Juneau is adrift in a modern-day world
she never knew existed. But while she’s trying to find a way to rescue
her friends and family, someone else is looking for her. Someone who
knows the extraordinary truth about the secrets of her past.

Goodreads description

I was (and still am) a huge fan of Amy Plum’s ‘Revenants’ series, and have them all displayed proudly on my *favourite* books shelf (just for A+ faves) and I read them all within a week, even the eBook ‘Die For Her’ on my iPad.  I was pretty much only interested in those books and everything else was put on hold. Glued to the pages is an understatement!
Dystopian is my FAVORITE new genre to read, so this could not come soon enough! The premise is amazing and so intriguing. I can already tell this will sweep off the shelves in all the bookstores when it’s released! Amy is such an incredible author, so I know this is going to be on my TBR list for anticipated releases!

  1. Well, I haven't read her Revenants series, but I'm anxious for this one, too! I even featured it on my WoW this week – twinsies! Ha! Regardless, this sounds awesome and CANNOT WAIT.
